The album features a number of collaborators new to Delerium, including the accomplished Juno award-winning Punjabi singer Koran Ahluwalia, who dominates one of the more dancefloor friendly album cuts, the heady Bollywood meets 4/4 beats of Indoctrination. Meanwhile, Isabel Bayrakdarian is a highly esteemed Armenian-Canadian soprano with a wonderfully expressive voice, who recently opened gala night at the New York Metropolitan Opera opposite Bryn Terfel in Mozarts Marriage Of Figaro and proved a huge hit in the same role at Londons Royal Opera House. Her acclaimed collection of Armenian liturgical songs, Joyous Light, pricked the ears of composer Howard Shore and led to a personal invitation to contribute to his multi-million selling Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers soundtrack. Baryakdarian, whose wordless, almost muezzin wail adds dramatic tension to album opener Angelicus and the darker tones of Lumenis, is a singer searching for something very personal in her music. What Im most interested in is beautiful singing something that speaks to me, she says Thats my main guideline to everything that I sing, whether its opera, recital or concert a sentiment you can be sure that Messrs Leeb and Fulber agree with wholeheartedly.
The album also features contribution from a host of Delerium regulars; Faithless vocalist Zoe Johnston, Kristy Thirsk (a stalwart since their 1995 Nettwerk debut Semantic Spaces), and sessions virtuoso Kristy Hawkshaw, whose CV is a veritable whos who of electronic music, including Orbital, BT and Tiesto. However, fans of Deleriums more cinematic moments will not be disappointed by the grandiose Tectonic Shift, a slow-building storm cloud of an instrumental, augmented by sweeping John Barry-esque strings courtesy of arranger Chris Elliott (Moulin Rouge, Rufus Wainwright), whilst the haunted Apparition provides Nuages Du Monde with a suitably elegiac conclusion. On the other side of the coin, the Jael fronted Lost And Found is a radio friendly vignette of lazily seductive pop that taps a more commercial vein, while English vocal group Mediaeval Baebes add a dose of religiosity and sophistication to Extollere and the pretty Sister Sojourn Ghost.
Nuages Du Monde proves another notable milestone on the ever-metamorphosing musical landscape of Leeb and Fulber.
Previous Delerium recordings for Nettwerk have included Semantic Spaces (1995), breakthrough album Karma (1997), Poem (2001) and Chimera (2005). The band have sold over a million albums in North America alone, but are also known for a string of successful singles, including the worldwide dance smash Silence (featuring the vocals talents of superstar Sarah McLachlan), which sold over 300,000 copies in the UK alone. Other hits have included After All, Innocente, Falling In Love), Underwater and Heavens Earth.
Leeb and Fulber have a number of other highly regarded musical collaborations under their belt, most notably the influential industrial act Front Line Assembly, while Fulber has found solo success as a producer and more recently with his celebrated ethno-ambient pop project Conjure One.

Copenhagen-based Sepiamusic began in late 1999, when singer Erin Chapman and producer Michael Adler Miltersen joined forces out of a handshake agreement to “give it a go and see what happens”. Born and raised in Denmark, Michael
has been integrating music into his life since childhood and in his early teens, he began to write songs and experiment with electronic music. Orginially from USA, Erin had a passion for both music and art growing up, focusing primarily in creative fields. Upon meeting Michael in Denmark in1998, Erin placed music in the forefront and the combo released their first demo in 2000.
After the first demo track “Fall Into Me” was well-received both by danish national radio and several internet playlists, the group solidified their efforts and began work on a full-length album When Sepiamusic appeared on the scene in 2003 with their debut album, “Prototype”, their tech-driven and emotionally-charged indie pop seemed to strike a serious nerve. Their distinct masculine/feminine universe held elements that crossed over several musical genres including rock, electronic, alternative and trip-hop. Several tracks off the album received enthusiastic support from Scandinavian radio and indie-stations internationally.
After a break to reconsider their efforts, Sepiamusic is back with an upcoming album titled “Trenches”. Wanting to reconnect with their music, the band pulled inspiration from the raw energy that developed from their live shows for the “Prototype” album. Allowing the songs to emerge in their own time and promising each other to not let anyone hear a single note until the album was written, Sepiamusic has juxtaposed a dark, rich, emotional sound with heavy electronics and rich acoustics. “Trenches” is slated for release in September.
Both “Prototype” and the up-coming “Trenches” were written and recorded by Sepiamusic and produced, mixed & mastered by Michael Adler Miltersen at the band’s studio in Copenhagen, DK.Tracklist:

Basement Jaxx's recent album, Scars, was originally conceived as a double album, with one disc designed as an outlet for the band's customary festival-pleasing floor-filling anthems and the other taking on a more unexpected, ambient persona. Thirteen new tracks are found in Cayetano's latest album. A glance at Argentina's tango club, London's smoky pubs, Barcelona's underground suburb vibe and the spirit of Parisian street cafes, could best describe the cinematic aesthetic of this album.
Piano, trumpet, classic guitars, electronic sounds and ethereal vocals worked together, in order to create this multicoloured sound puzzle.
The album opens beautifully with "Mathematical sorrow", where Latin-American influences are visibly clear and continues with the use of the melodica in the next track, "Sweet Poke", which activates our wishful thinking. The amazing voice of Themis Veleni in "Las Sirenas" leads our thoughts to the most touching moments of Pedro Almodovar. The already known theme of "Stretto Cafe '06" by Giorgos Stavrianos, is given here with a different dynamic and an almost political sense, honouring the voice of Subcomandante Marcos.
On the other side, "Stay" consists a little path to the more sensitive side of its creator. In "Red Winter I" and "Red Winter II", the mastery piano melody could rivet any possible audience. "After All" combines bossa nova to the Mexican ranchera, whereas "Spiritual Sun" and "Focused" play games with some really funky grooves. "La Poupee" and "Une histoire Si Petite", supported by the brilliant performance of Themis Veleni, apart from their theatrical style are kind of sexy as well.
With this first release, Sala Sonora Records manages to make clear its presence in the music field, not only the Greek one but also abroad, receiving some very positive comments by several foreign radio stations and Press. Through "Focused", Sala Sonora aims to define its artistic point of view.

Ilias Mimilidis a.k.a. “Loopa Scava” – the serial producer.- Teached by old-school musicians the art of music and sound for many years, he continues his musical trip next to fresh and talented ones. 'Yello are without doubt one of the most influential bands in the wide and open context of electronic music. From their earliest incarnation as slick Swiss guys with a strange back story making very odd disco, their music has permeated everything from comedy films to contemporary art installations. And of course: nightclubs. But the rhythm of Yello's music is just one side to their cube. Sonics, emotion, and visual elements are all equally important, something more than demonstrated on new concept album Touch Yello.
From the moment the Riviera blues of “You Better Hide” floats out of the speakers, everything is in place for an homage to past glories. However, Yello are one of those bands that maintain their own sound by always being different. We have Dieter Meier's half spoken lyrics tumbling out over the top of piano flourishes and electronic sax squiggles on “The Expert”, which is held together by monstrously deep, very contemporary bass notes. “Part Love” exists somewhere in between soulful boogie and country guitar licks, and is the kind of song that only an act like Yello can pull off.
Coming at the end of a decade that has seen the group focusing on myriad projects, of which music was only one, the cinematic Touch Yello is still Yello in every sense of the word. Guest vocalist Heidi Happy weaves her voice through the panpipes and electronic moaning on “Takla Makan”, but the quality of the samples and arrangements stop this album from ever becoming a pastiche.'

Simon Green aka Bonobo returns with his third album and the kind of quantum leap in quality that very few artists make. “Days To Come” has the feeling of a classic all over – a big, brooding, emotional and uplifting record that you can dance to, do the dishes to, or sit and really study.
Green has always been expert at welding together music dripping with atmosphere, combining his own musical and technical talents in such a way as to make utterly organic-sounding machine music. This is not just a knob-twiddling producer but a multi-instrumentalist at work, who writes, plays and then manipulates almost every note of music he releases. And “Days To Come” shows a new structural awareness growing from this, a feeling for the song form and the gradual build which raises it way above the work of many of his contemporaries and cries out for him to achieve the kind of mainstream success that has talent has long hinted at.
Bonobo’s debut album, “Animal Magic,” was released by Brighton label TruThoughts just as the journalistic vogue for “chill out” music began to peak, the Observer said “anyone in search of the ultimate summer chill-out album should buy this debut.” Having rejected the advances of more than one major label, Green decided to sign with Ninja Tune and for them he produced “Dial M For Monkey,” a brooding and intricate record which not only continued his move away from traditional sampling techniques, but broadsided the idea that he only made music for people to listen to in transcendental bubble bath yurts. The Independent labelled him a “name to watch”. Now, with “Days To Come,” the processes and techniques he developed on the transitional “Dial M…” have reached fruition, mainly (though not solely) because “Days…” could be seen as a collection of songs.
Rather than turning himself into a producer-for-hire on his own record and delivering a compilation album, Green found one main singer to work with, and her voice certainly adds that crucial edge to proceedings. Bajka (pronounced ‘Biker’) grew up as part of Embryo, a travelling music commune, whose journies took them through Afghanistan, Nepal and Pakistan. Now based in Germany she has released records on labels such as Ubiquity and Compost. A smokey, soulful singer, she sounds as at home on the big band soul-jazz of “Between The Lines” as on the more melancholic “Nightlite”, which Zane Lowe has already started playing on his Radio 1 show as a sunsetter anthem. Green is also joined by labelmate and fellow Brightonian Fink on the beautiful come-on “If You Stayed Over,” a gem of emotional pop that sees both of them at the top of their game.
Green hasn’t abandoned the instrumentals, though. “Ketto” arrives with a dreamlike intensity, “On Your Marks” hits with the all the force of early-era Shadow, while Part 2 of “Transmissions94” is amongst the most beautiful and transcendent music that this quiet and self-effacing producer has yet crafted.
With his fantastic band (in which he plays bass and with whom he has headlined the Big Chill and the Glade at Glastonbury) set to transform these studio pieces into living, breathing music, the stage is set for Simon Green to step up. The days to come look bright indeed, but sad and beautiful and lovely, too. Don’t miss them.

Downtempo styled musical duo comprising Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker from the
United Kingdom. Contributing artists include vocals from
Mozez,
Sia Furler,
Tina Dico,
Sophie Barker, and
José González.
After studying sound engineering, Binns and Hardaker began their careers in the music industry in the 1990s at a
Mickie Most's
RAK recording studio in London, engineering music for British musicians including
Pet Shop Boys,
Young Disciples and
Robert Plant. They contacted their friend and former college-mate
Nigel Godrich, who was the producer for the band
Radiohead, asking if he could give them some of the band's music to hone their skills with. The result was a remix of "Climbing Up the Walls" that appeared as a
B-side of Radiohead's single "
Karma Police".
That remix was played on
Gilles Peterson's show on
BBC Radio 1, leading to further remixing duties, beginning with
Terry Callier's "Love Theme From Spartacus", followed by mixes for artists including
Lenny Kravitz,
Sneaker Pimps and
Lambchop. In 1999, they went on to release an
EP of original material called "EP1", under the name Zero 7. In 2001, they released their
debut album,
Simple Things, to wide acclaim. The album featured collaborations with vocalists
Mozez,
Sia Furler, and
Sophie Barker.
The album was nominated for several awards including the
Mercury Music Prize. They won the "Best Newcomer" award at the Muzik Awards. The album sold sufficient copies to become a
gold record. When they toured the album, including appearances at a number of music festivals, the live band consisted of Binns and Hardaker, their three vocalists and a host of other musicians (many of whom appeared on the album), sometimes numbering up to 20 performers on stage at once. In 2002, Zero 7 released a
DJ mix album for
Azuli Records'
Another Late Night series, which features various hip hop and
chill out artists and also included a new track by the band, a cover of Johnny Osbourne's "Truth & Rights".
In 2004, they released their second album,
When It Falls. In addition to the three vocalists from their first album, it also featured a collaboration with
Tina Dico. In the same year, Binns also co-wrote the
Emma Bunton track "Breathing" from her second solo album,
Free Me.
Wanting to get back to the basics and turn away from being more than a duo, Zero 7 released their third album,
The Garden, on May 22, 2006. Mozez, Barker, and Dico did not return for this record. Only two vocalists were featured on the new LP, which included the Zero 7 mainstay and long-time cohort
Sia Furler, and newcomer
José González. Zero 7's own Henry Binns makes his singing debut on the album. The name of the album comes from the cover art, which is a collection of collages done by an artist friend, entitled none other than "The Garden."
In 2007 Binns and Hardaker created a band called Ingrid Eto, which has been described as the Zero 7 instrumental project.
Zero 7 are currently working on their fourth studio album
There are many rumours about how the band got their name. The main rumour stems from a nightclub the duo visited in Honduras called 'Zero' which played only seven songs. Another rumour is that their name came from a nightclub they visited in Mexico, named Zero Siete.

Finished with a quartet of EPs teasing its arrival, UK producer Martin Dawson, AKA King Roc, has finally announced the release of his debut album later this year.
For many, of course, Roc is one-half of Two Armadillos with Giles Smith of Secretsundaze, but there is little of the deep house that the duo produces on this solo record, entitled Chapters. Instead, the album sees Dawson experimenting with genres like trip-hop, ambient and chillout in much the same way that he did on his four releases on Mutual Society last year.
Many of the same track titles from those EPs are to be found on Chapters, but the tracks are the same in name only: Dawson's has twisted each original into different forms for the album release, with "trip-hop transformed into a beautiful vocal number, [and] techno into lush, beatless cinematics" for example. The result is an album, full of strings, melody and emotion.

Junior is a forthcoming album from Norwegian duo Royksopp, set for release on March 23, 2009. The new album has been described as a mix between the styles of the two previous studio albums, Melody A.M. and The Understanding, and features Robyn, Lykke Li, Karin Dreijer Andersson and Anneli Drecker.

General Elektriks is the brainchild of RV Salters. A French national and keen vintage keyboard player, he initiated GE just before moving to San Francisco. Using a computer, his oldschool keys and a SM-57 mike, he started sewing together loops, Funky keyboard licks, ethereal melodies and digital tweaking. GE became a musical journal that followed RV through his move to Seattle, then back down to the Bay Area, Berkeley, where he currently resides. There, he started laying keys down for the Quannum crew. Quannums own Lateef The Truth Speaker and Chief Xcel returned the favor by guesting on GE. Consisting of 12 songs from the journal, Cliquety Kliqk was first released in France by Bleu Electric, then picked up by Compost for Europe and by Quannum for the US.
Aesthetically, GE is a project that refuses to land in a particular bin at the record store. A mix of vintage sounds, hip hop beats, noir riffs, dreamy vocals, cinematic arrangements and digital twinkle, Cliquety Kliqk embraces all of RVs musical addictions. Radically new yet strangely familiar, General Elektriks is like a friend that you meet for the first time but feel like youve known all your life.
